The major advantage is a longer run time; a nitro powered boat will run much longer on a full tank then electric powered boats on a full tank. For example, a fast electric boat will run from 4 to 6 minutes on a charge while a nitro boat will run twice as long when equipped with a 10-12 ounce fuel tank.
