Puting In A Backyard Putting Green

September 12th, 2008

My middle son took golfing in ninth grade. He had a natural talent and was asked to join the golf team. He loved golfing and would go as often as time and finances would allow. He wanted to put in a backyard putting green so he could work on his putting. He went to the driving range at least twice a week but he thought that if we had a backyard putting green it would save him money. My husband and our next door neighbor are both golfers, so they naturally thought that the idea of a backyard putting green was a wonderful idea. The neighbor offered to help develop the green if he could use it. My son was in charge of getting all the measurements from the golf course so that the backyard putting green would truly be helpful. He talked to the grounds keepers as well as the golf pro at the course closest to our home.

Cuba looks to kids to recover faded boxing glory (AP)

In this photo taken Saturday Jan. 21, 2012, Abraham Hernandez poses for a portrait before the start of the boxing championship tournament at the Rafael Trejos boxing gym in Old Havana, Cuba. Boxers in Cuba are beginning competition earlier with the addition of a new age category for 9- and 10-year-olds. Hernandez is part of the pilot program in just Havana for now, but officials say it could be rolled out to the rest of the island, where 11-12 is currently the youngest level of competition. 4 Important Tips for Storage and Handling of Autographs
Don't Touch the Signature It's important when handling your autographs not to touch the signature itself. The oils from your skin can break down and damage a lot of surfaces/inks and can result in your signature fading or smudging. This is especially important with baseballs where it's not only important not to touch the signature but also not to touch the leather of the ball before it's signed.

Super Humans or Human Plus Athletes Can Will Events to Occur - Now I Have Proof of That
I've always believed that one can will events to occur in sports and competition, and that the strongest and most agile mind are forces to be reckoned with. They say you must believe to achieve, and that having a winning attitude makes all the difference. I think inherently we all know this, but now there seems to be some folks putting real empirical evidence to the concept, a winning concept if you ask me.
