One of the most important parts of running, especially for women, is having the right shoes. It seems like the market is crowded with options, and finding the right pair of shoes can be hard for some. It doesn’t have to be a painstaking task; especially since there are great brands available for women that are not only stylish they are fully functional and support a woman’s foot.
One of the premiere brands is Reebok. Reebok running shoes for women are not only fully functionally they are strategically designed to absorb impact, cushion the foot, and allow adjustments without harming or hurting the toes or the arches. The brand has grown by leaps and bounds, and has gone to great lengths to improve their women’s running shoe division to provide quality craftsmanship with every pair.
Holabird Sports has been stocking Reebok running shoes for women at prices that are quite good. Running shoes can really be expensive, especially if you purchase a name brand, but if you look at the options found at Holabird sports, you’ll notice that they have combined selection, price, and customer service.
The feet have been known for being the most neglected parts of the body. Don’t let that notion be true for you, if you’re looking to get fit, or are just looking to invest in a quality pair of women’s running shoes, consider Reebok running shoes, as they have come a long way in recent years to provide a great overall quality and design for runners of all types.

Re the talk about Lee Westwood ‘almost’ winning a major in the Masters last Sunday, The Daily Telegraph have a few interesting points. Although, I will never agree with the way the media BASH our sportsmen constantly and NEVER give praise, they do give a great ‘backhanded compliment to Andy Murray, here’s some of the text:
” Lee Westwood will never be a genius like Seve Ballesteros, Tiger Woods, Mickelson or even big John Daly. Westwood will find his major buried in the ground. He just has to go out there and dig a little deeper. People used to view Ben Hogan as a mystical prophet from a far-off land. Once he said: “The secret is in the dirt.” That is where Nick Faldo found his six majors and that is where Westwood will find the final answer. It is out there in the dirt of the practice range. Each time Andy Murray gets close to a major title he goes away and increases his workload. Murray finished second in Australia, Westwood finished second in the Masters. While a few more people give up on them, they go away and work a little harder.
This is ALL that’s WRONG with british sport, instead of supporting our sportsmen and women, the Britsh media knock them when they’re down.

Back in the olden days before the Internet was invented it was extremely difficult for people to find used tennis equipment. Sometimes local cities and towns hosted sports equipment swaps. However, these kinds of exchanges were held once per year and the good racquets sold out really fast.
However, today there’s a great way to buy used tennis racquets - the Internet. With online sites specializing in the sale of pre-owned racquets there’s a huge selection of rackets including the leading brands Head, Dunlop, Prince, Yonex and Wilson at some really affordable discount prices.

For those who are either new at the game of tennis, or only play periodically, a power racquets is best. Designed to accommodate those with weaker, shorter strokes, the power racket features a larger head, which creates a larger hitting spot, which gives the racquet more power. A heavier head, or balance, also gives these racquets more maneuverability, making it easier for those with little training to play a decent game right form the start.

Like its women’s counterpart, men’s tennis apparel is becoming more colorful, shorter, tighter, and smaller; and is covering less and revealing much more, leaving little to the imagination.
Until 1946, men’s tennis team apparel was smart active wear that consisted of a shirt, sweater-vest or cardigan, and full-length flannel pants. Running around the tennis court wearing hot full-length flannel pants would certainly be frowned upon by today’s athletes. The beginning of today’s trend in comfortable men’s tennis apparel may be attributed to Bunny Austin who, in 1933, was the first top-ranked player to make a bold statement in men’s tennis apparel by wearing shorts.

The purpose of tennis is to send the ball over the net to land within the boundaries of the opposite court in such a way that the opponent will have difficulty returning it. Ninety percent of tennis points are won on errors, i.e., balls hit into the net or out of court. A beginner must have faith that “good form” will pay dividends, once he gains control of his shots. A good-form stroke sends the ball more swiftly and accurately to spots on the court where the opponent will have the most difficulty in returning it. Fig. 1 shows the placement-shot areas.
Beginners are warned that they must be content with a goal of “getting the ball over the net” and not expect to hit placement areas very often. Likewise the beginner will dwell in “Dubland” more often than he wants to. He must practise patiently, first to conquer the net and boundary lines so that his balls land somewhere within the court. Later he will learn to control his shots and the placement areas shown in the diagram will become his point of aim. Although many of his shots will miss the target, it is better to try for them during practise than to be content with “Dubland” shots. It takes time to achieve tennis placement shots just as in the case of a 200-yard golf drive or bowling strike.

Without proper mental toughness conditioning a tennis player can go either way in any game depending on how they feel any given day. Playing without the discipline of mental toughness can cause players to crack under pressure and give up games they otherwise could win.
The mental game of tennis requires real mental strength and endurance – and this takes conditioning. No matter what happened on the last point, no matter how tired the player gets, no matter the conditions of the court or who else is in the game -
mental toughness in tennis training wins games for any player who remains focused in every moment of the match.
