I can’t remember my heart even pumping slightly faster during any baseball game. Now granted, I’m usually watching the Pirates, which kind of explains my boredom though. But I think the main reason for the excitement of sports is the speed of the game and baseball is so slow and long that you don’t have to have your eyes glued to the game. You’re probably not going to miss much if you look away. In the city of Pittsburgh, you could of actually looked away for the last twenty years and you wouldn’t of missed much! That’s a story for another time though.

So I think that most of us are adrenaline junkies that love the excitement and sports are the perfect fit. As a sports fan of Pittsburgh, I have been fortunate lately to watch the great teams that we have. I also know that we can’t win every game and we are not always going to be world champions. We will also have losing seasons, unless you’re the pirates, then you will only have losing seasons! That’s the beauty of it though. You never know whats going to happen and it definitely gives us an adrenaline rush each week! The main thing is to keep it all in perspective, it’s just a form of entertainment. We still have to go out and make a living, raise our kids, and love our family, no matter what our favorite team does on Sunday.
