Bass Fishermen, The Internet Can Now Help You Sink That Hook”

June 22nd, 2010

That’s right, the power of computers has entered the bass fishing game – you can’t escape them. Old timers might not like the idea that bass are somehow related to computers. That’s not the way we did it, right? Well, did you ever keep a log when you fished for bass. Many of the old timers did; in fact, that was considered the mark of a dedicated bass fisherman, that he studied out his prey. You probably had a notebook in which you jotted down such information as the bass’ depths when you were catching them. You were sure to record the cover you found there, and you must have indicated which of your array of lures and bait did the job. You kept these logs for each trip and often referred to them when fishing the same place. You were collecting information, old timer, and that’s what computers do too.

Sure, there are some who can remember everything when they went bass fishing, remember the time of day they made their catch, any maybe the lures shape, color, weight and leader length, but, unless you just go once a year, you’ve probably made many catches at many places throughout your bass fishing career and probably can’t remember them all. That’s why you kept a log. That’s what a computer can do for you too, keep a log.

With laptop computers now available, there’s no reason to keep that paper log that probably has a water stain on every page, bait juices, maybe even a spot or two of bass blood. The thing is hard to read now. Get it all into a laptop and there will no more unreadable entries to plague you again.

What, just make a document, you ask. Sure, you could do that, but there’s an even better way of keeping records of your fishing excursions. You can create your own log on the internet. There the “Fisherman’s Log”, essentially an online database on bass fishing. You are able to enter information on spots you’ve fished for bass. You bring up the page and record the specifics of your bass hunt for the day. You can also view other fishermen’s logs, an especially useful feature when you’re going to places you’ve never been before. You just search for the fish you’re after and a report tells you everything you’ll need for that day. It even allows you to get predictions based on the data already collected. Good way to select the next spot. It’ll tell you what lures to use, at what depth they’ve been caught, best time of day, and the best bait to use. You can find out how they respond to baitfish activity, in general. You can get even more general information, such as their spawning habits.

Because bass follow rigid habits, knowing how they behave will give you an advantage. At least you wont be going off riding on the boat of lady luck. You’ll have computer information, and it’s information that puts you over the top. Get online now, and find out how, when bass fishing, information sinks the hook.

You will find that your kids and friends can eat, talk, watch TV and even listen to their favorite music while playing billiards in your home which are all the things they love to do. The best benefit for you is that you will know that your kids are safe and at home.

Here is another point, when your kids are not using the billiards table you and your friends can enjoy socializing while playing a friendly game of billiards while watching your favorite baseball, football, or basketball team play.

Whether you are looking for a basic table for the kids, or a table with all the prestigious details of fine furniture, you need to think about certain elements while making your decision about which billiard table to purchase. Billiards pool Tables are available in wide range of styles and prices. For the most accurate and consistent play you will want to make sure you purchase a slate billiards table that meets all the Billiards Congress of America (BCA) specifications.

To make an informed decision, you need to consider your answers to several very important questions.

1. Who will be the biggest user of the table?
2. Will the table be used for recreation or serious play?
3. What budget have you set for your purchase?
4. What is the size of the room that the table will be placed?

To help you, keep reading to help you answer these questions and gain a further understanding of other billiards pool tables features you should know about.

The performance range from least expensive (up to $1000) to custom level ($2800 upward). You can divide the performance range into four ranges: least expensive (up to $1000), economy level ($1000 – $1500), mid range level ($1500 – $2800), and custom level ($2800 upward).

The playing surface for regulation-size pool tables is twice as long as it is wide. Billiards pool tables come in different sizes, the most common are 7′ (bar size), 8′ (home size), Oversized 8′ (commercial size), and 9′ (tournament size). The larger the table the more challenging the game becomes because the pockets are farther apart. Improve Putting Using An Indoor Putting Mat

October 18th, 2009

Is your putting frustrating you? Are you trying to find a way to practice putting without going to the driving range or your local golf course? Do you live in an area where it snows and gets to cold to go outside and practice putting?

Well consider using an indoor putting mat to practice and hone your putting to a fine edge, especially those dreaded short putts.

With an indoor putting mat you can practice putting in
- Your Office
- Your Family Room
- Your Living Room
- Your Basement
- Your Garage
- Your Bedroom
- Your Hotel Room
- On Your Pouch
- Outdoor In Your Backyard

Practice, Practice, Practice Your Putting Year Round With An Indoor Putting Green

Practice on an indoor putting mat can help you shave strokes off your score through improving your putting techniques. You can also improve your confidence in putting those dreaded 3 to 6 foot putts. Those are the ones that usually cause the knees to knock and a nervous stomach.

Putting is a huge part of the golf game. Up to 50% of your score comes from putting. So using the right putting aid such as an indoor putting green can help you work on improving your putting techniques and it can also be a lot of fun.

What Do You Want In A Putting mat?

They come in a variety of prices, styles, and shapes. Some are portable or you can set up a permanent indoor putting green. The important thing is that you find one that you like and feel will help you improve putting.

If you are focusing on improving your putting techniques there are a few features to look out for when considering which putting mat to purchase.
• A step on either side for both left and right-handed golfers
• Putt reducer to make your target that little bit more difficult to reach thus enhancing your putting ability
• Putter-rack to rest your putters against
• A ball returner

Find A Putting Mat That Fits Into The Area Designated

Before you buy a putting mat you need to decide on the type of green and consider any installation issues. You should measure the dimensions of the room you intend to install the putting green. You want to make sure the length of the room will allow for the length of the green. You should also ensure you have adequate space for a right hand person and a left handed person to approach and address the putt.

UFC Tickets Hard To Find?

July 29th, 2009

UFC Tickets can be hard to get. Fans just can’t get enough of this “new” sport which is a blending of many disciplines taking the best from each. The excitement is palpable. A title match can be over in 30 seconds or last 30 minutes. Everything can change in a second. In my opinion, that is a big reason for its popularity.

Many people say that MMA and the UFC is dangerous because it teaches youngsters that fighting is ok and should even to be revered. But if you were to ban anything and everything violent, then we would have to ban professional wrestling, video games and yes, our other beloved Olympic sports mentioned above. However, since society is not willing to give these sports up, there is no reason to single out MMA and the UFC.

Mixed martial arts is just that – mixed. It is a blending of many other types of fighting. The UFC features fighters from wrestling, boxing, muay thai, jui jitsu and tae kwon do backgrounds (almost all of which are Olympic sports). If these sports are good enough to attract the best athletes from around the world to compete in an event that honors them as such, why shouldn’t a sport that encompasses each of these styles be good enough? The answer is it should be good enough – and it is.

Ever wanted UFC tickets to a live event? They can be very hard to find, but not impossible. Its worth the effort.

Using the The Bowflex Bench!

May 15th, 2009

The Bowflex Bench is perhaps the one piece of Bowflex Exercise Equipment that would render most other pieces of the Bowflex home gym useless if it were missing. It’s all thanks to this supportive and well constructed bench that has seen me go from a near wimp to a very impressive and well toned body that I just can’t wait to flaunt on the beach in the summer of 2009. I’ve had home gyms before, this is my third, and I have to say that there had been no other piece of apparatus that has given me the enthusing, great tutorials, and fantastic results, as that of Bowflex. Thank you Mr. Bowflex, you have another happy and loyal camper to your equipment.

Aerobic Videos

May 1st, 2009

An article about: Aerobic Videos

Well, while aerobic videos are certainly not brain surgery, they can be a tad difficult for the body to adapt to. Depending on what kind of shape you’re in to start with. I always laughed at my wife’s aerobic videos. I mean come on, she keeps the retro ones. You know, the kind with Richard Simmons sweating to the oldies. She swears by their results, but I still find them amusing. However, this is what’s important when it comes to aerobic videos. It’s all about the results, people. If you’re dropping the pounds and getting into shape; that’s all that matters.

Pilates is a form of exercise

November 16th, 2008

Pilates is resistance exercise, not aerobic (cardio), although the heart rate will certainly rise for a deconditioned individual. However, it’s closer to weight lifting than it is to jogging, biking , or other aerobic activities, and so you should consider it resistance exercise. Pilates is a dynamic form of Yoga, you can say. Similar to yoga, the emphasis in Pilates is on concentration, control, breathing and precision. Pilates is a form of exercise which can be performed by just about anyone willing to try. It is typically performed on a mat but can also incorporate the use of exercise balls and other equipment such as a Reformer.

Pilates is a form of exercise which stresses both mental and physical well-being through a variety of techniques. One of these techniques is controlled, complete breathing. Pilates is certainly not the only way to improve core strength but it is certainly an adequate alternative. Pilates is not the latest fad, it is tried and tested and has been around since the early 1900s when it was first developed. It is now enjoying a surge in popularity and is being developed to attract a more mainstream audience.

You are a fitness fan, and love to build muscle by regularly working out. You might have your own home gym to help you with your fitness goal, and your gym comes complete with written instructions.
Now although this is better than no instructions at all, videos showing how to use the equipment are so much better. They help you to see the correct technique to use, and give you more ideas on how to use the equipment too.

Take a look at these weight training equipment videos. There are a lot of them, so made by fitness experts, and some bu amateurs, and use your common sense as to whether a routine is good for you or not. And whatever you do, don’t overdo your training – it could knock you back weeks, as injuries are more likely at this time.

Custom Bowling Shirts – Reminding Bowlers This is Not Hockey

November 6th, 2008

How in the world can custom bowling shirts remind bowlers they’re not playing hockey? Find out in my new post about custom bowling shirts that discusses how bowling shirts can make intense fashion statements, what I look for in web sites that sell bowling shirts and other bowling apparel and equipment, and how bowling shirt customized to a player or team can help just a little bit to improve the player’s bowling score (or the overall score of his/her team).

In that post you’ll see a short, funny bowling video clip that shows one bowler about to take her turn, when the other bowler sitting and watching decides to dart out and take the bowler down! A good customized bowling shirt could help prevent this type of hockey-like body checking behavior if it was embroidered on the back with some text like: “This is Bowling – Body Checking’s For Hockey!”.

It’s just one of many funny video clips you’ll find on the site which includes many sports videos. But the above post gives a whole new meaning to custom bowling shirts and the benefits they provide!

Sport of Boxing

June 6th, 2008

The sport of boxing has been around in various forms for thousands of years. Mesopotamians enjoyed a sport where two men would box each other while sitting in chairs, and Egyptian tombs display wall paintings of boxing competitions. The Greeks added boxing to the original Olympics in 688 BC, and Roman audiences cheered on boxers in Coliseums across the civilized world. The pugilism of slaves who hoped to win their freedom became so popular that even aristocrats began to take part in the sport.

Wrestling News

June 6th, 2008

Pro Wrestling in itself is one of the most unique forms of entertainment out there. Some call it a sport, some call it a soap opera and others call it a traveling stage show. For something so hard to pigeon hole it is equally as hard for reporters to cover the wrestling news.
In the dinosaur age before wrestling was exposed journalists would cover wrestling news as if it were a real sport like boxing. They would show up at the events, make notes and when a wrestler won then that was that.

Pilates Workout

May 15th, 2008

Pilates exercise movements was developed with the intention to eliminate physical limitations. Pilates puts no stress on your joints and no wear and tear on your ligaments and cartilage around your joints, especially your knee and shoulder joints. It conditions your muscles in a balanced way and increases your self-awareness by drawing your focus inward. Pilates exercises are designed to strengthen this core by developing pelvic stability and abdominal control. In addition, the exercises improve flexibility and joint mobility, and build strength.

Pilates is a form of exercise which can be performed by just about anyone willing to try. It is typically performed on a mat but can also incorporate the use of pilates exercise balls and other equipment such as a Reformer. Pilates is a wonderful workout and I highly recommend it.

Pilates is an excellent system for knee, back, hip, shoulder and repetitive stress issues. We view the body as a whole to help address postural imbalances, muscle weakness, and joint stability to help clients recover and prevent injuries and to become healthy fit individuals. Pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body’s “core” or “powerhouse” (torso). People who do Pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health.

Pilates is based on movement, but after only a few sessions, most people begin to understand that Pilates can be so much more than movement alone. Whether you’re completely out of shape or just looking to improve your developed sports performance, Pilates will give you a more effective body.
