Refiner Golf Club Gets Your Swing Going the Right Way

September 1st, 2010

Looking for a great golf swing training aid to improve your golf swing? For many weekend golfers who love the game and yearn to get better and better, this is probably the case. It could be that your hand action is off. Perhaps you have developed an unwanted pull hook on your golf ball shot because of this. Turn to the Refiner golf club and you will see positive results by training with this patented hinged club that is designed to allow you to swing better and more consistently. Some golfers have had such improvement that they now score in the 80’s and even the 70’s a lot more often and enjoy fewer penalty strokes. If your hand action and overall swing is improper, the club breaks at its hinge points; otherwise, the club stays straight, so you can actually feel what you need to do to correct your golf swing. When you move to your real driver or iron, you will see the difference in how you handle those clubs. So, get out there and enjoy the Refiner golf club and start playing like a pro.

Learn The Interlocking Golf Grip

August 25th, 2010

There are a number of different ways to grip a golf club, but the interlocking golf grip is probably the most popular.

The interlocking golf grip allows both hands to work as one, and having the fingers interlock ensures that the hands do not come apart at any stage during the swing.

Many of the players on the pro circuits use this grip because it gives them the control they want on the club, and therefore on the ball.

If you want to learn the correct techniques of the interlocking golf grip, I have just posted a short video, which explains how. The video is short and to the point, and will have you gripping the club correctly in no time.

Go check it out and find more golfing tips and advice at Golf Swing Basics.

Womens Golf

June 2nd, 2010

Many people do not associate golf with women, however, women’s golf has come of age as more organizations have focused on developing this sport amongst women. The benefits of such development are not only felt by women participants, but by corporate organizations that are focusing on providing the right apparel and equipment for use by women golfers.

Women’s golf, just like the men’s game, demands self control, discipline and decision making skills. As follows, organizations that are grooming women for higher positions in the workplace often encourage them to take up golf. Some institutions, grooming young girls for good career prospects in the future, also recruit them into golfing. The habit of recruiting such for purposes of developing a feeder pool of women golfers for collegiate institutions is also spreading to high schools.

Powered Golf Trolleys

May 14th, 2010

Golf has been a sport that you can take up at any age and now with the popularity of powered golf trolleys you do not have to lug the clubs across your shoulders this would allow many more people that have not got the energy to both drag the golf clubs around the course and still have enough energy to swing a club.

The biggest nuisance that I have found is that when you lift the clubs out of the back of the car and then have the broad strap feel like it is eating into your flesh by the time the 18 hole comes around you find yourself not tired from the game just weary of carry the clubs. I jumped for joy when I opened a birthday card last year, to find a gift voucher for the golf shop at my local club. For my family I have always been what they called “difficult” to buy for and they were thrilled when I retired and decided I wanted to still to remain fit and wondered what I could do.

My friend Jean had been playing for a while and asked me along to a golf morning, well I was actually hooked from the first time I stepped on the course. Now every birthday the family take joy in buying various golf equipment to add to what I already had got myself, the lessons helped to correct my swing and with the last voucher I got I put a few dollars towards a powered golf trolley and it has made so much difference to how I actually feel at the end of the game. I feel so good I can nearly go around again!

Was Tiger Woods sincere in his apology video?

March 31st, 2010

Tiger Woods’ apology statement briefly referred to his Buddhist religion and in his apology video he also touched on his future plans, although at that time he did not say when he might return to golf.

We now know that he does plan to make a return to the public eye for the Augusta Masters in April 2010 and it will be a very intense time for Tiger and his famiy as the eyes of the world will be on him. We don’t know yet what the public reaction will be of course but we do know that emotions will be at an all time high.

Adopting a serious and somber tone, a contrite Tiger Woods apologized for his “irresponsible and selfish behavior” . There are people who feel that his body language showed that he was not sincere about his apology and that it was completely stage managed.

But there seems to be many MORE people who feel that his apology did come from his heart and that is took an immense amount of courage to come out and speak publicly about his behaviour over the past few years. He stated that he previously felt that he his rules were different to everyone else and that he was ‘entitled’ to behave in the way he did.

It was quite apparent that after the passing of his father Earl he certainly did lose his moral compass and with his promised intention to get back to his Buddhist roots one can only hope that he will get himself back on the right track for the sake of his family.

Being treated for sex addiction is not uncommon amongst celebrities who are so much in the public eye, Michael Douglas once had a similar problem, as did David Duchovny and surely with the strength of mind and character that Tiger Woods has, he will learn the necessary lessons and once more be the world class sportsmen that we admired so much.

There is an ongoing discussion on Tiger Woods apology video on The Apology Video.

Improve Through A Golf Fitness Training Program

October 28th, 2009

To improve yourself and your golf experience you should start with a golf fitness training program that will improve your ability to play golf and reduce injuries that have prevented you from playing golf. A golf fitness routine can increase your driving distance and decrease potential injuries.

As you know the golf swing is very difficult and complex. All the twisting and turning during the golf swing puts a lot of torque on your legs, knees, and upper body. A good fitness program is one that will prepare your body to produce the required power in your swing and at the same time withstand the forces placed on your body during the golf swing. A good golf fitness training program is one that will improve your flexibility, muscle strength, posture, and coordination.

Improve your flexibility to increase your club head swing range.

Develop your muscle strength to increase your club head speed and provide more distance to your drives and irons.

Train your posture and coordination to increase your golf club swing power.

Improving your golf game will come through a physical fitness routine that you consistently perform on a regular basis. The fitness training program should also include cardiovascular exercises to increase your overall fitness

Belly Putters Improve Your Game

October 28th, 2009

The Belly Putter is longer than a regular putter and is used to help force the golfer into the correct putting stance.

It does this by the fact that during the putt, the butt end of the belly putter stays in contact with the golfer’s body at the abdomen. Putting in this way helps create a pendulum swing. Using a belly putter will increase the golfer’s confidence and train the body to maintain that perfect putting stance. The golfer has the option of just using the belly putter for all putts or only using it as a training aid and then going back to a regular putter at some point.

Belly putters have help win tournaments and will improve your putting game.

Improve Putting Using An Indoor Putting Mat

October 18th, 2009

Is your putting frustrating you? Are you trying to find a way to practice putting without going to the driving range or your local golf course? Do you live in an area where it snows and gets to cold to go outside and practice putting?

Well consider using an indoor putting mat to practice and hone your putting to a fine edge, especially those dreaded short putts.

With an indoor putting mat you can practice putting in
- Your Office
- Your Family Room
- Your Living Room
- Your Basement
- Your Garage
- Your Bedroom
- Your Hotel Room
- On Your Pouch
- Outdoor In Your Backyard

Practice, Practice, Practice Your Putting Year Round With An Indoor Putting Green

Practice on an indoor putting mat can help you shave strokes off your score through improving your putting techniques. You can also improve your confidence in putting those dreaded 3 to 6 foot putts. Those are the ones that usually cause the knees to knock and a nervous stomach.

Putting is a huge part of the golf game. Up to 50% of your score comes from putting. So using the right putting aid such as an indoor putting green can help you work on improving your putting techniques and it can also be a lot of fun.

What Do You Want In A Putting mat?

They come in a variety of prices, styles, and shapes. Some are portable or you can set up a permanent indoor putting green. The important thing is that you find one that you like and feel will help you improve putting.

If you are focusing on improving your putting techniques there are a few features to look out for when considering which putting mat to purchase.
• A step on either side for both left and right-handed golfers
• Putt reducer to make your target that little bit more difficult to reach thus enhancing your putting ability
• Putter-rack to rest your putters against
• A ball returner

Find A Putting Mat That Fits Into The Area Designated

Before you buy a putting mat you need to decide on the type of green and consider any installation issues. You should measure the dimensions of the room you intend to install the putting green. You want to make sure the length of the room will allow for the length of the green. You should also ensure you have adequate space for a right hand person and a left handed person to approach and address the putt.

New Golf Balls Review: Titleist Pro V1 & Pro V1x Golf Balls

August 11th, 2009

It is the feeling of nearly all golfers that Titleist golf balls are the best quality balls that have been produced in the last 30 years. Having said that, how is it possible that this company could better a 1st rate golf ball?

But never one to rest on its laurels, Titleist has developed an even better golf ball! You can find a new hidden seem design thanks to a staggered wave parting line on both the Pro V1 and Pro V1x.

The new balls also have a new alignment marking, doing away with the need to draw a line with a marker.

You will also discover these new balls are more responsive on the green, fly further and have higher coverage than older Titleist designs.

If you are searching for the best golf ball, you’ll be hard pressed to pick up one better than these 2.

Cure a Golf Slice With These Tips

May 12th, 2009

The number one wish shared by many new and experienced golfers is this: How to cure a golf slice for better golf, lower scores, longer drives, and more satisfaction from the game of golf. From the golf swing to club selection to driving to putting, golf is fraught with many aspects that can frazzle the nerves of even the most calm and settled and accomplished of people, personalities, and temperaments. But so many golfers suffer from the so-called banana ball syndrome of slicing the ball that if they could fix that one part of their game, so many others factors would fall into place. A lot of it comes down to the grip and the golf swing, the position of the hands and wrists and elbows and hips in both the upswing and the downswing of the golf club as it approaches the golf ball. My latest article introduces some bare bone basics of how to cure a golf slice once and for all. The real first step in how you go about the task to cure a golf slice begins with you, the golfer. You first and foremost have to believe, really truly believe that you can cure your golf slice. Looking for the best golf grip

May 5th, 2009

Anytime you grab a golf club it is your hands that are the only portion of your body that touches the club. Over the years the hands, or grip, have many times been referred to as the steering wheel of the golf swing. This comparison couldn’t be more appropriate. By gripping the golf club properly you are opening the door to a much fuller experience when playing this game.

Holding the golf club at first glance doesn’t seem that difficult a thing to do. However, there is a lot of trial and error involved to determine the best grip for you. This is one of the most fascinating aspects to the game of golf. How they grip the golf club is a VERY UNIQUE thing for anyone that plays golf. No two grips are alike. The only way to determine the perfect golf grip for you is to experiment with a variety of grips while hitting more golf balls. Go to best golf grip for photos and more detailed instructions to improve your golf grip.
