ManU and Arsenal Still The Best

December 24th, 2007

When it comes to English soccer there is little debate as to who is the best. The Manchester United and Arsenal squads have proven on the field that they will be competing for the title at year’s end. Is there anyone else even close?

Some could make an argument for the play of Chelsea and Liverpool, and it would would be unwise to count them out at this point.

Most soccer fans have a hard time forgetting Arsenal’s run over the last few years, including an undefeated 2003-2004 season in the world’s most difficult league. Learn more about Arsenal’s fantastic play as well as other soccer history stories here.

Weight Training Routine for Golf Player

December 24th, 2007

All golfers know that in order to have a powerful swing their muscles have to be powerful. It is simply not effective enough to just work on the mechanics of one’s swing; there has to be real power behind the swing if we want the ball to go as far as possible. Most golfers turn to weight training routines; however, golf is very different from your average sport. A very specialized weight training routine especially for golf is needed. Doing a general weight training routine won’t affect golf; at least, we can not take it for granted that any old weight training routine will change your golf game. Click to get your own golf weight training routine.

December 22nd, 2007

One of the most important components that you need to consider when trying to construct a proper weight lifting workout routine for yourself is that you need to lay the foundation onto which your body can grow. You must be sure to start off without a weight lifting workout that your body can handle, rather than starting off at a difficult level and possibly injuring yourself. Remember that you can always work your way up, but if you begin by starting at too difficult a level you can seriously harm yourself. Learn more about bodybuilding workout routines

Rugby Tournaments and World-Wide Excursions

December 22nd, 2007

The universal appeal of rugby has given rise to countless international rugby tournaments that happen all over the world. Fans aren’t restricted to getting their England rugby tickets for England, they can watch the best English (or Irish or Scottish) players play against the best international teams in the world with six nation tickets.

But what makes a triumphant rugby tournament? Sure, rugby itself is an exhilarating sport, it moves rapidly, there are many ways to score points, and the enthusiasts are almost as intense as the players themselves. But not all rugby tournaments are successful.

The premier international rugby tournament is, of course, the Rugby World Cup. It’s also the most lucrative, with every match watched by millions, both on TV and at the stadiums by those who can get rugby tickets. In fact, it’s the third most popular international sporting competition worldwide, with only the summer Olympics and the FIFA World Cup drawing a larger audience.

Another of the premier Rugby tournaments in the world, the Six Nations tournament, began in 1883, when England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland joined in what was called the Home International Championship. Then, in 1910, France joined the competition, which was rechristened Five Nations. When Italy joined in the year 2000, the tournament became known as the Six Nations Championship, the phrase we know it by today. There are many things that make the Six Nations Championship such a thriving rugby tournament, and Six Nations tickets such desirable items.

One plus that makes British Lions tickets sell so quickly is the extensive history of the tour, which started in 1888. The Lions have seen their greatest support in the 1900s, with tourist and fan support really rising in the 1950s. Their first non-amateur tour in 1997 was a total success, the Lions only lost two games total.

However, the awarding of bonus points can certainly change the standings. Even to the losing team, one point is given for scoring four tries, and one point is awarded for losing by seven points or a smaller amount. You’ll have to skip the Six Nations tournament, though, if you want the excitement of the bonus points system– you’ll want to buy your England rugby tickets or Scotland rugby tickets for a different tour. While the bonus system is the standard in most international tours, Six Nations doesn’t use it.

Copying Body Building Routines

December 21st, 2007

For up and developing bodybuilders, it may surprise you to learn that to achieve the same type of body as Arnold Schwarzenegger has nothing to do with reading everything you can on pumping Iron and then copying all of Arnie’s moves. Therefore, those that feel that replicating bodybuilding routines like those used by any Mr. Olympia or any Mr Universe may in the end wind up very disappointed once their bodies do not turn out to be the sculpted, muscled masterpieces that Arnold Schwarzenegger and other well known body builders like other Mr Universes or other Mr Olympia has achieved.

The Rewards of Good Golf Putting Instruction

December 19th, 2007

Golf putting instruction is something that can be taken on board at times when often it is not possible to get to the course, or range to practice the long game.  If you are really keen you might setup a small green in your back garden, or otherwise on the carpet in your house (or heaven forbid, in the office!). Unlike the long game where it is often beneficial to engage the services of a golf professional for tuition, golf putting instruction is something that can be got from videos, books, and from the practice green from other good golfers.

Tony Romo And Jessica Simpson

December 18th, 2007

So the Cowboys lost to the Eagles and people are blaming it on Jessica Simpson? Do you really think Tony Romo had a bad game because she was wearing a pink and white Tony Romo Cowboys jersey? Get real. Tony R. is a professional and a damn good quarterback.

Remember, Jessica was at the Green Bay and NY Jets game. The Cowboys, and Tony Romo in particular, dominated that game. As quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo has put up numbers that Roger Staubach, Danny White and Troy Aikman never could.

Don’t doubt Tony Romo (Jessica Simpson doesn’t).

The Family Camping Tent and Outdoor Fun

December 16th, 2007

I love outdoor sports.  From archery to camping, if it’s out doors it’s for me.  But camping is much better with a great tent.
We found a great family camping tent at one of the major sporting goods stores in our area. The tent actually had rooms that you could add on to it. When you entered the tent there was an opened space that was large enough to accommodate a folding camp style picnic table. We already had this. It folds into a suit case.

Just Who Is Tony Romo?

December 15th, 2007

Who is Tony Romo? Is he the third best quarterback in the NFL, behind Tom Brady and Peyton Manning? Is the the clutch quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys who has decimated all of the Cowboys single season passing records? Or is he the quarterback that lost last year’s playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks by dropping a last second field gold hold?

Tony Romo is all of that - he’s also romatically linked to just about every blonde in Hollywood. You know - Tony Romo and Carrie Underwood. Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson. Tony Romo and Britney Spears.

Tony Romo - the man, the myth, the legend!

Decent Golf Clubs Help Improve Your Game

December 14th, 2007

Whether you have a set of used clubs, a set of discount clubs or an expensive name brand set, having your own golf clubs will help you with your game as every set of clubs has a slightly different feel to its swing and you will become more accustomed to how your own set of golf clubs feels when you use them. Having your clubs custom fitted for your height will allow you to have a more natural and comfortable stand, but for an average golfer buying a set off the shelf will generally work. A club can always be shortened, but if you buy a set

Using Athletic Tape Correctly

December 10th, 2007

Even though athletic tape can do athletes a lot of good, it can also be dangerous. Serious injuries like muscle, ligament, or cartilage tears, should never be taped up and ignored. These injuries need a great deal of time and therapy to heal. Some athletes believe that with tape or cortisone shots they can patch up these injuries and get back in the game, but to do so risks serious and permanent injury.

Getting Lift Chairs

December 8th, 2007

There are many medical devices that are available to people to make living within their home a safer option. Unfortunately many times people, especially the elderly do not realize that the equipment is available and that there are many insurance plans that will pay for all or a portion of the cost of the items. Having the medical equipment in the home may mean he difference between living independently and needing to move to a care facility.

Many times people that have had strokes need to have a great deal of rehabilitation prior to safely returning to their home. When my father in law had a stroke he spent three weeks in the rehabilitation wing of the hospital.

What to Look for when Buying Exercise Equipment

December 6th, 2007

Multi-gyms with two or more pieces of exercise equipment connected together can be a good choice if they provide enough variety to exercise all the body parts. If you purchase something you don’t like doing, chances are your exercise program won’t last long. The type of exercise equipment to stay away from is the fad type of unit. Make your purchase decision based on smart research just as fitness centers have. If a quality piece of exercise equipment is your choice but the budget restricts you, then look in the newspapers in the classified section. There are people who are selling equipment all the time. Look in the sections under sports equipment or miscellaneous. Talk to the owners or managers and ask them if they are selling anything or if they know of anyone selling used equipment. You have made a choice to improve your health, physical conditioning and quality of life. Using the guidelines above, thoroughly conduct your research to make sure that the type of exercise equipment you purchase will be a wise choice. Read also: weight loss tips
