Stretching is a thing we all need to do but most of us do it wrong. The old way of passive relaxed stretching has proved not to work as well as other methods. The trick is to know the new methods. Also, you will want to stretch the whole body not just part of it. That is if you want to get the most out of your time.

An article about bottled drinking water.
There has been much debate recently as to the quality of tap water and its comparison with bottled drinking water. Natural mineral water, spring water and bottled water in general have become very popular. Water coolers and filtration systems are popping up everywhere. I find it all very confusing.

Now, depending on what your background is, the term body building Supplements might mean as simple a thing as Whey Protein, creatine, Hydroxycut or it might be a little off the deep end and include steroids. I do not consider steroids to be a body building supplements, but rather a body building drug. Steroids are not natural and I do not use them. I stick with some very basic weight gain supplements like creatine, whey, Glutamine and along with Sunrider Sports line (sport caps, metabooster, sunbars and fortune delight) and that’s it.
We could talk forever about body building supplements and how they play a role in muscle building performance, but lets start with some very basics before we delve into supplementation ok?
A very important aspect of being able to build muscle with or without supplements, aside from doing the exercise, is to be consistent in your efforts. On again off again exercising proves to be more disappointing than anything else. To truly get results, you need to commit yourself to daily exercise! Human history has us in the fields chopping trees, plowing fields, planting food, hunting animals. We have come a long way from that, but our bodies still need the level of movement that was associated with those times.

I get quite a few emails asking about various supplement for body building, stacking different supplements, or how to use some supplements. After my recent return to serious lifting after a one year layoff, I did a basic cycle (about 7 weeks) using the basics, and came back with a 18lb gain in these 7 weeks.
So, I’m writing this long guide now to answer some of these most often asked questions, and hopefully help you out. Now, this guide is just for beginners who are using some basic body building supplements, but lack a good understanding, or for anyone who’s considering using some supplements for the first time. If you’ve been using supplements for awhile, then you probably shouldn’t waste your time reading this. But feel free to do so.
Hopefully after you read this, you’ll gain a good understanding of the basic supplements, and learn to use them to maximize your gains. So, here’s what you can hopefully get out of this guide:

In GOLF IS A GAME OF CONFIDENCE, “Doc” Rotella focuses on the most important skill a golfer can have: the ability to think confidently.

Are you on a protein power diet? If so you’re probably eating this way to gain muscle and/or lose fat. Grass fed beef is the perfect compliment to this diet.
For me, being on the protein power diet is a muscle building thing. You know how sometimes you have 15 inch biceps and really want 16 inch biceps? That’s where I’m at for the most part. I just want that extra something flowing through my system and helping me along with the muscle building process.

Both men and women need security in this world of danger. In big cities, it lurks in shadows and around corners constantly. Every day we hear of violent attacks against the elderly and women. To secure themselves, some people take self defense classes, which can prove to be time consuming and expensive. Others carry guns, but those can be as dangerous as the brutes they are meant to defend against. One defense, however, that people might count on when used properly and in the right situation, is Mace Spray For Self Defense.

A racing bicycle is a bicycle designed for road cycling according to the rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
The UCI specifies that a racing bicycle have the following characteristics:
- be a vehicle with a front wheel steered by a handlebar and a rear wheel driven by a system comprising pedals and a chain by the legs moving in a circular movement
- wheels must be of equal diameter, between 70 cm and 55 cm, and must have minimum 12 spokes
- maximum length 185 cm
- maximum width 50 cm
- the peak of the saddle must be at least 5 cm behind a vertical plane passing through the bottom bracket spindle
- the saddle must be between 24 cm and 30 cm in length
- the distance between the bottom bracket spindle and the ground must be between 24 cm and 30 cm
- the distance between the vertical passing through the lower bracket spindle and the front wheel spindle must be between 54 cm and 65 cm
- the distance between the vertical passing through the bottom bracket spindle and the rear wheel spindle must be between 35 cm and 50 cm
- the maximum internal distance between the front fork ends is 10.5 cm, and of the rear stays 13.5 cm
- minimum weight 6.8 kg
- frame must be built around a main triangle, constructed of tubular elements (that may have non-circular cross-sections) such that the form of each encloses a straight line
The two most important things about a racing bicycle are its weight and low aerodynamic drag (at least as far as can be achieved within the rules of the UCI). Everything else in the design is sacrificed for these properties. Components are as light as possible. The fastest racing bicycles thus need a great deal of maintenance…

The first kind of archery equipment that you will need is - you guessed it - a bow. There are many kinds of bows to choose from. You can take the traditional route and opt for a longbow, a recurve bow or a self bow. Or you can go modern and choose the semi-automated crossbow. Your choice of bow should depend for the purpose you’re planning for the same, either for hunting or for event competitions. The traditional bows are meant for traditional events, such as the archery contests in the Olympics. Hunting is not as picky. You can choose the traditional or the modern variety of bows for stalking game animals.

Back in high school I loved Kung Fu and Karate. If I was not going to Kung Fu or Karate class, I was training at home with some great karate equipment. One specific tool that I used on a regular basis was called the Flexmaster. It was more or less a flexibility machine. You would sit in it and crank your legs apart in order to get a good stretch. I used to sit in that thing for 30 minutes at a time, slowly increasing my flexibility. I have to say that it worked rather well. I finally got to where I could do the splits. This meant for range for my kicking techniques. Anything from perfect jump-side kicks, to leaping splits, to jump spinning hook kicks were possible. That was probably my absolute favorite piece of karate equipment.

Let’s face it, we live in a stress filled world, and even if we’re not feeling stressed ourselves, it’s all around us. At some time or another, we will succumb to it, and before it gets the best of us, we need to learn how to handle it. Stress can have many negative effects on the body, leaving us susceptible to all kinds of ailments and chronic disease, some deadly. Take panic or anxiety disorder for instance. One of the contributors to this common condition is excessive amounts of the hormone cortisol, produced by the body during a “fight or flight” mode, when you react strongly to a situation, either physically or emotionally.

Go to any forum on martial arts and you are bound to see someone asking the question, “What is the difference between kung fu and gung fu?” The answer is simple…nothing. This is like saying what is the difference between pop and soda? The difference is dialect and what part of the country your are from. Kung fu comes from the Mandarin dialect; which is prominent in Northern China. Gung fu is Cantonese from Southern China. Both are translated to the same thing; “hard work” or “effort.”

Most people start thinking about self defense after something either happens or almost happens to them. The problem with that is that now their minds are not as open to all the other things one learns through the discipline of martial arts. True it’s better than not taking it but it’s best if the student comes with a willingness to learn everything the art has to teach. Respect, the first lesson we learn in a good martial arts school. Then focus. As well as how to breath and relax. Just to name a few of the benefits you learn before you ever get to the punching and kicking.
